Dear Parents and Guests,
It is my utmost pleasure to extend to you a warm welcome to the Al Diyafah High School website! I am absolutely thrilled to serve as the principal of this institution, where children come in every morning with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.
Al Diyafah High School's rich history traces its origins back to 1982. Since its inception, Diyafah has continually evolved, becoming a pioneer in holistic education, offering an exceptional curriculum that encompasses a wide range of disciplines to serve the constantly evolving and maturing world around us. This harmonious blend of learning not only nurtures the innocence of a three-year-old entering the school but also shapes them into confident, competent, and caring individuals by the time they reach the age of 18, fully prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
Our educational approach is designed to provide a solid foundation and cultivate well-rounded students. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in the Foundation stage, the revised English National Curriculum during the primary and middle school years, and qualifications from the University of Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel at the IGCSE, AS, and A-levels. In addition to these academic programs, we offer exclusive initiatives like the Personal Enrichment program, the Duke of Edinburgh Program, STEM, and the Peter Jones Foundation Program, all complemented by our strong commitment to social responsibility. This, along with our thoughtfully curated curriculum and exceptional parent community connections, has helped us mould our students into global citizens of the 21st century.
I am pleased to share that our school is currently undergoing an expansion, with a new wing set to open in September 2024 to accommodate our Years 10-13 students. This expansion will provide our children with access to additional facilities for learning, which I am confident will greatly benefit our students.
I am truly excited to be part of Al Diyafah's journey, and my ambition as Principal is to empower our students to reach their full potential, both academically and socially, within an environment of warmth and care. We aim for not just successful citizens but happy, fulfilled, and sustainable citizens of tomorrow. In a world that is progressing in leaps and bounds at a technological front, we encourage our students to also pause, read between the lines and understand the sensitivity and nuances surrounding any trend so that they can be the ones to hone, progress and eventually apply these technological innovations in a sustainable way.
I firmly believe that happy children are the best learners, and they thrive when they are challenged. At Al Diyafah, we take pride in our commitment to challenging our students to think critically, creatively, and independently, a fact underscored by the numerous accolades and awards our students consistently earn.
I hope your visit to our website has been a rewarding and informative experience. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further information.
